A Labor of Love
“I found teaching Reading Recovery a labor of love,” said former
Reading Recovery teacher June Fink. “I had a true sense of
accomplishment and satisfaction each year.”
June has retired from teaching, but her Reading Recovery friends
helped to continue her labor of love by making gifts to the Reading
Recovery Fund in honor of June’s birthday. Talk about a gift that
keeps on giving! When her name appeared on the list of donors in the
Reading Recovery Fund Annual Report last fall, June was reminded
once again of the indelible imprint she has had on the lives of
children, and how her friends helped to extend her legacy.
“Being involved with Reading Recovery was the most satisfying part
of my career and I was lucky to have a bond of friendship with other
teachers,” June said.
